Recommended Usage
Before: Use a 40 gram serving of Battery+/-3™ immediately prior to intense exercise, whether this be weight training, cycling, long distance running, rugby, it doesn't matter. Any athletic pursuit that requires sustainable energy.
During: As glycogen stores begin to dwindle, fatigue may set in. This is when a 40-60 gram serving of Battery+/-3™ during exercise can be vital. If you are in the middle of a 2-3 hour run or bike ride, using Battery +/-3™ during exercise could be your saviour.
After: Upon completing an intense workout, glycogen reserves are diminished. You need replenishment and quickly. The simple carbohydrates present in Battery+/-3™ will do the job and they'll do it quick. I always have reservations about simply using dextrose alone at this period. In the past, when following this practise, I experienced a huge blood sugar crash some 45-60 minutes later. If you cannot eat at this period, then the crash is not healthy. This is why we include fructose in the product. Battery+/-3™ will be ingested quickly enough to replenish muscle glycogen stores, but not so quick that the crash will occur. Depending upon body weight and exercise performed, I would recommend between 60 grams (3 scoops) and 100 grams (5 scoops) of Battery+/-3™ at this stage.
