For a constant flow of energy during the length of the exercise.
BEFORE - Top off your energy stores by taking one packet of Carb BOOM! Energy Gel 15 minutes before exercise with 200ml of water Carb BOOM! Electrolyte Sports Drink to speed absorption.
DURING - For sustained energy consume one packet of Carb BOOM! Energy Gel every 30-45 minutes during exercise, washing it down with a few mouthfuls of water or Carb BOOM! Electrolyte Sports Drink to speed absorption. Water, water, water! Make sure to drink at least a cup of water with each gel to wash it down and help with hydration levels—it helps to time gel consumption with water stops/aid stations on the course. Try to make sure you’re taking in 16-30 ounces of fluids per hour to maintain adequate hydration level
AFTER - Speed recovery and reduce post-exercise fatigue by eating one packet of Carb BOOM! Energy Gel within 30 minutes of finishing your workout. This takes advantage of the post-exercise time window when your body replenishes lost glycogen most efficiently.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Athletes should aim to consume 16-24 oz of fluid and 50-75 grams of carbohydrates per hour to stay properly hydrated and fueled during exercise. These levels can be achieved through various combinations of sports drink, energy gels and water.
